On a cool autumn day he had parked his 1960s Fiat by the side of the road and a girl with auburn hair caught his eye. Discussing their mutual love for all things vintage, he invited her to come for a spin, she insisted on driving. He played her his favourite record and she baked him a delicious pie. Fellow Brisbane blogger, Amber Lowther showcases her relaxed style on her site Amber Avenue. In her final year of high school, to get a jump on her fashion journalism career, she created Amber Avenue to give herself an opportunity to write about fashion trends, runway shows and what inspires her.
BNE Style had a chat with Amber about her personal style and her dreams for a fashionable future!
You have seen Ashleigh of The Blonde Silhouette on BNE Style before, featured for her impeccable style and as a guest contributor. This time she is in the hot seat, answering questions about her love of fashion and personal style which she describes as:
“Constantly evolving! I am a very feminine dresser who loves bold graphic prints, bright colour blocking and multi texture! My signature style sees me fusing classic luxe pieces with modern structured prints/fits.
When it comes to accessories I definitely favour a minimalist attitude and would rather make a statement with a luxury piece – ie, my favourite Louis Vuitton Neverfull MM handbag, simple yet striking!”
On a whirlwind trip to Brisbane, Jade was loving the warm weather compared to the chilly Melbourne temperatures she left behind. She always dresses with style and attitude and this shoot was no exception.
Most men don’t enjoy shopping and feel that one annual trip to the stores is plenty to purchase some new threads, as is the case for Jareth. He is showing off his new winter wardrobe, all purchased in one shopping flourish! I must say, I enjoy seeing men in stylish coats. I know Brisbane isn’t freezing during winter and so a coat wouldn’t seem like a wardrobe staple for most men but, with this chilly weather we are having, at least Jareth knows he will be toasty warm!
I am fortunate to have two gorgeous cousins who were willing to show off their personal style, have a chat about what inspires them and share a fond memory of their sister.
